116 students graduate from Woodland Institute of Nursing in inaugural convocation ceremony

Shillong, May 25: Woodland Institute of Nursing (WIN) marked a significant milestone as it hosted its first-ever convocation ceremony on Thursday at Laitkor, Shillong. The event saw the conferral of certificates upon the graduating batch of 2020 and 2021 in B.Sc (Nursing), P.B. BSc (Nursing), and GNM programs.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Health Minister Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh as the chief guest, and Prof. N. Saha, Dean of NEHU (North-Eastern Hill University) as the guest of honour.

Dr. Werlock Kharshiing, the Managing Director of Woodland Institute of Nursing, expressed his pride in witnessing this momentous occasion for the institute. He emphasized the significance of the convocation ceremony in honouring the achievements and hard work of the students who successfully completed their studies at WIN.

A total of 116 students graduated from WIN, representing diverse nursing programs. Among the graduates, 35 completed their B.Sc in Nursing, 54 received their Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing certificates, and 27 were awarded the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) qualification.

The convocation ceremony served as a platform to recognize the dedication and perseverance of the graduating students. It also highlighted the commitment of Woodland Institute of Nursing to providing quality education and fostering future healthcare professionals in the region.

The event concluded on a joyous note, with the graduates and their families celebrating this significant accomplishment.
