Tura, Oct 1: Donkam M. Marak has been picked up by one of the biggest clubs in the country, Hyderabad FC, for their U-17 football team and program.
The 15-year-old boy who plays for Chandmary FC has signed a contract for three years with one of India’s top football clubs, Hyderabad FC.
Marak joined Chandmari FC in 2021. The Owner manager of CFC saw him as a good footballer but required more training.
He will go as soon as he gets a call for him to go to Hyderabad.
Talking to Hub News, manager Nancy A. Sangma said, “I have never seen any Garo guys playing ISL, so he has hope that one day these young players will be the state’s pride.”
He originally hails from Matalagre village in Okkapara and is currently a student of class X at Hawakhana Higher Secondary School, Tura.
Talking about his achievements, he won the Best Player Award in the U14 category of the Symon Soccer Tournament in 2022. This year, he also represented the junior team of the Meghalaya Football Association in Odisha.
