Shillong, Feb 18: Meghalaya Government on Friday appointed four out of five Congress MLAs to government posts as a gift for joining the MDA government.
CLP leader and Senior Congress legislator, Ampareen Lyngdoh’s post hasn’t been revealed but it is expected that she will receive a plump post for being the leader of the pack of 5 Congress legislators.
Congress MLAs PT Sawkmie and Mohendro Rapsang were on Friday appointed as the Co-chairmen of Meghalaya New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (MNREDA).
Congress MLA Mayralborn Syiem was given the post of co-chairman of Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and Kimfa Marbaniang as co-chairman of Meghalaya Government Construction Company (MGCC).
The appointment of four MLAs is with A+ category which includes perks and facilities.
Ex-MLAs Limison D Sangma and Billykid A Sangma were appointed as the Co-chairmen of Meghalaya State Planning Board (MSPB). Dr. Raju Azad was appointed as the member of the MSPB.
