Shillong, Nov 26: On the occasion of the 75th NCC day, Laitumkhrah Assamese Secondary School’s NCC cadets, led by ANO Sangeeta Chakraborty under 2 Meghalaya Battalion, Shillong, engaged in a meaningful social service initiative.
The cadets conducted a heartfelt outreach in economically disadvantaged areas, including Shani Mandir and the vicinity of Mothpran.
Demonstrating both compassion and responsibility, the cadets diligently prepared homemade meals, which they graciously distributed among the less fortunate children and homeless individuals.
This altruistic act not only brought joy to the recipients but also instilled valuable lessons in the cadets, teaching them the importance of not wasting food and fostering love and care for those in need.
The palpable excitement of the children about participating in this noble endeavour reflects a promising step towards a more compassionate and responsible society.
