Shillong July 1: The Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian (K.J.P) Synod Sepngi will organise a Charitable football friendly match as part of the Centenary celebration of the Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital, Jaiaw.
Today speaking to the media persons, the secretary of the Organising Community of the Charitable Football Friendly Match, Rev J.R. Thabah said that the Pastor’s Fellowship (Ka jingiaseng iasyllok ki pastor) will organise a football match for the purpose of Fund Raising towards the Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital.
The football match has been decided to be between the pastors of the KJP Synod Sepngi and the MLA/officers of the Government of Meghalaya informed Rev Thabah and it will be held in the different zones of Khasi Hills.
He also informed that the football match will begin on July 6, at Nongstoin Zone and will be held at the New Nongstoin play ground, on August 23 the Mawkyrwat Zone on the Saitsnad football ground, september 17 at Ri-Bhoi Zone, at Umroi football ground, October 7th and 22nd at Sohra Zone and Shillong Zone (Mawlai Madanheh football Ground) respectively.
The administration officer of the Hospital, K. W Marbaniang said that the hospital has served the people for 100 years and have met the need of the people in the state he said, ‘The hospital has been in need of expanding the requirements in term of infrastructure, doctors, facilities and space for health care units’.
The construction will be in phase wise and in the first phase that is construction of the entire ground floor which cost rupees 7 crores will be started soon, which includes, Laboratory, Records room, MRI & X-ray room, Blood collection centre, TB dots, Pharmacy, Orthopedics and Physiotherapy.
The estimate costs of the entire 5 (five) floors building will be 44 crores.
