Baghmara, Jan 14: The MP of 2-Tura LA Constituency, Agatha K Sangma, on Friday inaugurated the newly constructed 145.38 meter RCC Girder Bridge at Nongalbibra in South Garo Hills District under PMGSY Scheme.
Expressing her happiness towards successful completion of the bridge she thanked everyone involved in making this long pending bridge a completed one. She also stated that while other Government in their tenure could complete only 700 kms in road connectivity, the MDA Government has completed 2234 kms of road within the 5-year time.
She further stated that what other Governments could not do in 20 years time, NDA Government has done it in their five years tenure.
Around 600 habitations are being benefited by road connectivity to the headquarter, She added.
The MP also chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at the District Resource Centre, DC Office, Baghmara and reviewed the status of ongoing and completed centrally sponsored schemes implemented by different departments.
