Imphal, Dec 23: In a series of coordinated operations across Manipur’s hill and valley regions, the Indian Army, in collaboration with Assam Rifles, Central Armed Police Forces, and Manipur Police, has recovered a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and warlike stores. The operations, conducted over the past few days, spanned three districts—Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Bishnupur.
The recoveries include 25 weapons, various types of ammunition, and explosives, highlighting the scale of the security challenges in the region.

According to a Defence spokesperson, an intelligence-based search operation on Saturday in Wathalambi led to the recovery of two 7.62 mm modified sniper rifles, one 7.62 mm SLR rifle, two single-barrel rifles, one 51 mm mortar, one modified grenade launcher, four IEDs, and several grenades.
