Shillong, Mar 4: The Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers on Friday held a protest rally from Khyndailad to IGP, Shillong, to demand for enhancing their daily wages.The All Meghalaya ASHA workers association members from all the different districts marched with black flags and shouting slogans of “We demand our Right from the MDA government”. In their demands, the ASHA workers wanted increment in their daily wages from Rs 90 to Rs 500. Also, the dues of ASHA workers have not been cleared since 2018.
