New Delhi , Oct 1: Amlan Borgohain of Assam showcased his exceptional speed as he secured a spot in the semifinals of the highly competitive 200m race at the Asian Games 2023.

He finished at third position after clocking a timing of 21.08 seconds in the men’s 200m heats and advanced to the semifinal.

According to the rule, the first three athletes in each heat make the cut for the semi-finals.

He holds both the men’s 100m and 200m national records.

The semis (automatic qualifier) in men’s 200m is scheduled for later in the evening (October 1).
