Assam: Amritpal Singh’s uncle Harjeet Singh, two more associates flown to Dibrugarh, lodged in Central Jail

Dibrugarh, March 21: Apart from pro-Khalistani leader Harjeet Singh, two more aid of Amritpal Singh were flown to upper Assam’s Dibrugarh on Tuesday.

The two of them have been identified as – Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal and Gurinder Pal Singh.

They were arrested by Punjab police on Monday after launching massive crackdown against Khalistani supporters.

Sources said the two of them were brought to Central Jail, Dibrugarh at around 11.44 am on Tuesday, and lodged at cell no 13.

Harjeet Singh, uncle of Amritpal Singh, was also arrested on Monday and on Tuesday he was brought to Dibrugarh in a special flight at around 7 am and lodged in Central Jail, Dibrugarh.

Meanwhile, Punjab Police have launched a massive manhunt against the ‘Waris Punjab De’ group members in the state and so far over 100 arrests have been made.

Sources said seven members of ‘Waris Punjab De’ members were lodged in Central Jail, Dibrugarh and many more are likely to be lodged in the jail. Earlier, on March 19, four members of ‘Waris Punjab De’ were brought to Central Jail, Dibrugarh.

They have been identified as -Daljeet Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bhukhanwala and Bhagwant Singh alias Pradhan Mantri Bajeke – who were charged under the National Security Act (NSA) and currently lodged at the Dibrugarh Central Jail.
