Guwahati, Dec 22: Dramatic visuals of a massive fire at Marwari Thakurbari in Assam’s Jorhat on Wednesday night, in which several cylinders exploded one after another causing the fire to spread, have gone viral.

While the fire was brought under control in the morning, but operations are still on with 30 fire tenders pressed into service to douse the fire.

The fire broke out at a business establishment.

At least eight residential dwellings have been gutted in the fire so far, causing damages worth in crores.

Meanwhile, all the residents have been safely evacuated, official sources said.
