Silchar, Dec 28: In a bizarre development, a goat gave birth to a human-like offspring (called kid) in Assam’s Cachar district.

The incident was reported at Shankar Das’s residence in Gangapur village in Cachar district of Assam.

After hearing the news, the people of the village thronged at Shankar Das’s residence to see the human-like offspring.

The goat kid (as the goat offspring is known) was stillborn but its resemblance to a human offspring surprised many in the area.

The kid had human-like features. Its eyes, nose and mouth resembled a human. Its ears were like a goat’s. It was born with two limbs.

The kid died after her birth. The people who gathered at Shankar Das residence were eager to see the kid.

Later, the owner of the goat buried the dead kid or the baby goat.
