Tura, May 1: Three trucks were attacked on Tuesday in Tura, with two being set ablaze at a construction depot in Bokmagre, on the outskirts of Tura town.

The attack on the dumper truck occurred around 9:30 pm as the trucks were heading to Tura from Bokmagre. An eyewitness to the incident said, “One person attempted to stop the trucks and began pelting stones. Of the three trucks, one managed to make a U-turn and flee the scene.”

“The incident was reported to the police, who immediately responded,” said the manager of the construction depot to Hub News.

He further explained that while the police team took the drivers for medical examination, a group of unidentified miscreants arrived at the ARSS JSB construction depot in Bokmagre and set two trucks on fire. “Around 2:30 am, a biker came to the site. I was afraid, so I ran towards the jungle. From a distance, I saw a car and could hear someone pouring something (probably fuel), but later I smelled burning tyres and saw the vehicles going up in flames”.
