Pollution of water bodies in Tura and adjoining areas has been prohibited by West Garo Hills district administration in view of the hot dry summer approaching with water scarcity on the rise and people having to depend on streams and other water bodies to obtain thia precious commodity.
Around 200 armed miscreants stormed into the residence of Additional SP, IW, Moirangthem Amit Singh and abducted him along with his escort on Tuesday evening, a statement issued by police said.
Talking to reporters, CM Sarma said, "We will win 11 out of 14 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. But we will try our best to win 12 numbers of seat in the state,".
