TURA, AUG 17: BJP state vice president and Tura MDC Bernard N Marak ( Rimpu) currently in police custody has been given another 6 days in police custody by the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Tura on Wednesday.
The new order by the court makes Bernard Rimpu under police custody for a total of 26 days.
After his arrest from UP he was first sent to 14 days police custody in the case of a minor’s rape that took place in his farmhouse.
When the 14 day period was over the court sent him to another 6 days of police custody in connection with the recovery of bows and arrows and gelatin explosives from his farmhouse.
He will now have to spend another 6 more days in police custody from today.
