Tura, Mar 13: A head-on collision between a bike and a truck at Berubari in Bajengdoba on Sunday evening resulted in the biker getting killed on the spot. The bike was speeding and on the wrong side of the road.Police said the accident happened at around 5:30 PM when one Bajaj Discover bike bearing registration No. ML07A 5310 dashed against one truck loaded with bamboo bearing Registration No. ML10 B 8916 at National Highway 51 at Berubari and as a result of which the rider of the bike Brittom R Marak, 24 years, son of Gobalton Momin of Village Rongpetchi died on the spot and another pillion rider Sanjip Sangma, husband of Malche Marak, sustained grievous injuries.
