Shillong, Dec 1: The state BJP has asked the Director General of Police (DGP) Dr LR Bishnoi to intensify patrolling at Mawbah area.

This came after a petrol bomb was lobbed at the residence of a non-tribal identified as one Paritosh Das at Bengali Para in Mawbah on Monday night.

In his letter to the DGP on Tuesday, BJP state president Ernest Mawrie said that the incident has created fear and insecurity among the residents of the area.

“Hence, I am to solicit your kind attention by dispatching more security forces for patrolling in and around the area to instill a sense of security to the local populace,” he had stated in the letter.
