Blood donation camp organised by the NSS at Loyola College in Williamnagar

Tura, April 28: A Blood Donation Camp was held on Thursday by the NSS at Loyola College, Williamnagar in which many students participated by donating their precious blood for the needy.

A team of doctors and nurses led by Dr. Jimmy Ch Marak supervised the blood donation camp and also apprised the student volunteers about the importance of blood donation.

The awareness drive was well received with 9 students and 6 teachers came forward to donate their blood at the camp. Many others who also volunteered were not selected due to various health issues.

The donors were treated with energy snacks such as fruits, eggs, juice and water after the donation.

The NSS in-charge and Lecturer of English Department Shri Witseng Ch Marak, said “I truly appreciate and extend my sincere thanks to the donors for showing a great service of humanity to our society. Your generosity will save many lives. ”

The NSS president, Alprin R Marak, a student of 3rd BA Political Science Department also participated in organising the event.
