Raigad, May 3: Two pilots were injured after their helicopter tilted during landing in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 9:30 am as the pilots attempted to land the chopper on a makeshift helipad in Mahuhad.
According to reports, the helicopter had been scheduled to pick up Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare for a public rally related to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. However, as the pilots brought the aircraft down to land, it tilted unexpectedly, resulting in injuries to both pilots.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, and the injured pilots were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current condition is unknown.
