Tura, Jan 20: A success story by BSF troops manning the border in Garo Hills has taken place on 19th January 2022, after vigilant troops of 55 Bn BSF got huge success in anti-smuggling operation.
Troops of BOP Silbari 55 Bn BSF under Meghalaya Frontier carried out joint operation with Meghalaya Police in South Garo Hills district border and seized huge quantity of clothing and cosmetic items worth Rs. 22 lakh.
The seized items were being smuggled to Bangladesh. All the seized items were handed over to concerned Custom office for further legal action.
