Shillong, June 9: As a good human gesture, the Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya on Tuesday returned an innocent Bangladeshi boy to BGB after he had strayed into Indian Territory. BSF handed over a 12-year-old Bangladeshi teenager identified as one Hasanur jamal Abhik to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) as a goodwill gesture during a flag meeting held between BSF & BGB at ICP Dawki.

In a press statement, BSF Meghalaya spokesperson said the boy from Bangladesh was found roaming in the area of Dawki village, who had entered into Indian territory inadvertently on June 16, 2021.

BSF Meghalaya spokesperson stated that such acts of humanity helps in reinforcing the bond of friendship between the two neighbouring countries and “we as a security force are always there to help the population on either side of border”.
