New Delhi, April 20: The Government of India has extended ceasefire agreements with Nagaland militant outfits NSCN-NK, NSCN-R and NSCN-KK by one more year.
While ceasefire agreements with NSCN-NK and NSCN-R has been extended from April 18, 2022 to April 27, 2023, the same was extended with NSCN-KK with effect from April 18, 2022 to April 17, 2023.
These Agreements were signed on April 19, 2022, a statement from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) read.
Ceasefire Agreements are in operation between Government of India and National Socialist Council of Nagaland/NK (NSCN-NK), National Socialist Council of Nagaland/ Reformation (NSCN-R) and National Socialist Council of Nagaland/K-Khango (NSCN-KK).
Mentionably, NSCN-NK, NSCN-R, NSCN-KK are breakaway factions of dominant groups NSCN-IM and NSCN-K.
