Chipakkore Football Club clinches Super Division of Tura Football League 2022

Tura, Oct 30: The much awaited final match of the Super League of the Tura Football League 2022’s ended on a spectacular note as Chipakkore Football Club won the champions title defeating Selsella Sports Association 4-0.

The Goal Scorers in the match were Siddartha Rabha of Chipakkore FC who scored the first goal at 30’ min of the match, while Brojen Muchahary scored three goals at 54’, 56’ & 89’ mins.

A total of eight teams were part of the Super Division category, which was held at Chandmari Field, Tura organised by the District Football Association, Tura.

The qualifying team Chipakkore Football Club will be the team to represent West Garo Hills in the Meghalaya State League to be held in Tura in December.

Tura Football League is the only tournament that promotes professional league matches following the guidelines of the All India Football Federation. The District Football Association Tura is an affiliate organisation of the Meghalaya Football Association.

The final match was attended by Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister Thomas A Sangma and Rochonpara MDC and EM Arbinstone Marak.

Speaking on the occasion, Thomas Sangma lauded the organisers for successfully conducting the professional tournament.

District Football Association has around 1000 registered players, who are part of different categories and play for clubs in West Garo Hills district.

The dignitaries gave away the prizes to the winner and runners up teams.

Player of the Final was Brojen Muchahary of Chipakkore FC,

Best Young Player was Saldish Momin of BOCA Juniors,

Golden Gloves award was given to Tengsan Sangma of Selsella SA,

Best Defender to Kenny Noel A Sangma of Maram FC,

Best Half was given to Harlee K Marak of Chipakkore FC and

Best Forward to Threesbirth Momin of Maram FC.

The top Scorer was Brainsbirth Momin of Chipakkore FC and the Player of the League was Benja Marak of Selsella SA.
