Guwahati, Feb 5: Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera on Sunday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for visiting Assam and ignoring the ethnic violence-hit Manipur.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khera shared a screenshot showing the available flights on Monday (February 5, 2024) from Guwahati to Imphal, along with their respective prices.
“Dear PMO India. If Himanta (Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma) can book a chopper for you then it is fne, otherwise here is the list of lights between Guwahati and Imphal tomorrow. Please let us know if we need to make the booking,” Pawan Khera tweeted.

Manipur has been going through the onslaught of ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities since May of last year.
Over 250 people have lost their lives, and many others have lost their houses due to the ongoing violence.
There have been incidents of women being harmed and looting of weapons from police stations, resulting in a significant breakdown of law and order in the state.
