Shillong, Dec 17: The Congress party has gone into damage control mode after receiving backlash for missing the consultative meet on Assam-Meghalaya interstateĀ boundary issue. TheĀ Congress party on Friday announced to support the NPP-led MDA government on various issues of public interest.
CLP leader Ampareen Lyngdoh announced that the party will, support the government on the issues of demand for ILP,Ā CAA, inclusion of Khasi and Garo languages in the Eighth Schedule and others.
“We are ready to support the government,” she said.
She also informed that Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured to hold another meeting on the interstate boundary issue wherein the Congress legislators will given a chance to participate.
