Shillong, April 20: The Meghalaya High Court on Tuesday asked the state and local bodies not to drop their guards and ensure Covid protocol is maintained and enforced in the state.
Disposing off a PIL on the matter, a bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee said in the light of the improved situation at the moment and no further surge of the pandemic emerging, the present petition is disposed off.
“However, the State and the local bodies should not drop their guards and should ensure that Covid protocol is maintained and enforced, particularly as suggested by the Union Ministry of Health in its regular guidelines and advisories,” it said.
