Shillong, April 14: With a total of 13 active covid-19 cases, State Health Secretary Ram Kumar on Friday said the state expects to see more cases in the coming days.
He, however, assured that the State government is fully prepared in case of a surge in Covid-19 cases. On Friday, three news cases were reported while two patients recovered.
According to the Health official, the good part is that no one was hospitalised. The Health Secretary also mentioned that the existing Covid wards in the hospitals will need to be reactivated whenever required to handle the cases.
Kumar said the state government will review the situation before issuing any advisory for the people to follow Covid-19 protocols. He further said the manpower would be ramped up by reappointing people on contract if the situation demands.
