Ampati, Jan 5: Covid-19 vaccination sessions for beneficiaries in the age group of 15-18 years have begun at all the health facilities of South West Garo Hills (SWGH) district on Wednesday, while at Garobadha PHC the session had started from January 3.
No cases of AEFI was reported from any health facility till the time of filing this report.
Target beneficiaries are required to bring along their school ID card, ration card or Aadhar card and for those beneficiaries having no ID card separate session would be created.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, SWGH, A.V.D. Shira convened a meeting of the District Task Force on Covid-19 to discuss vaccination plan and also issued new protocols and restrictions in her order under section 144 Cr.PC to prevent the spread of the highly infectious variant Omicron in the district.
