Jowai, Oct 13: As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ or 75 years of India’s Independence and the Legal Service Week, the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) and the office of the District Sports officer, West Jaiñtia Hills organized a cycle rally on Wednesday. The District Sports Officer K. Passah flagged off the rally from Kiang Nangbah Stadium, Ladthadlaboh, which saw participation by 45 cyclists.

The aim of the rally was to create awareness about the sacrifice of the freedom fighters and the benefit of cycling.The rally passed through Ladthadlaboh Main Road, Newhill, Iawmusiang, Mynthong, Chutwakhu, Mission Compound, Iongpiah, Dulong, Tpep-pale and culminated back at Kiang Nangbah Stadium.
