Tura, Dec 20: A fully matured deer, believed to have been kept in a private farm, somehow wandered off into the campus of a private university campus in Tura.

The animal came looking for food and entered the ICFAI University compound. It has been inside the compound for two days, since Sunday, and no wildlife staff have come to rescue it, even though information has been released to them on Sunday itself.

The good Samaritans of ICFAI, namely its security guards and employees, have been keeping guard to protect the animal and also feeding it.

West Garo Hills DC Ram Singh has also joined in the rescue effort and issued an order to wildlife department to immediately rescue and care for the animal.
