Khliehriat, May 5: As war on drugs continues in full swing, the East Jaintia Hills District Police on Thursday nabbed two persons on suspicion of drug trafficking in the Kalain near Khliehriat area.
Acting on a tip-off, an operation was launched by a team of EJHD city police and intercepted a truck bearing registration number AS-028-AC-0429 and arrested two accused. The two were later identified as Jaydar Ali (34) and Sanidul Islam (20) both from Barpeta, Assam.
A total of 6 containers containing 65.32 grams of heroin, mobile phones and cash were seized from the duo.
