Williamnagar, 23 May: Education Minister Rakkam A. Sangma paid a visit to Rongrenggre Government Higher Secondary School in Williamnagar on Tuesday. The minister was warmly received by the Deputy Commissioner of East Garo Hills, along with the school’s Principal and staff.
During his visit, the Education Minister engaged in discussions with the Principal and teachers of the school, addressing their concerns and requirements. He conveyed a message on behalf of the Meghalaya Government, led by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, expressing their utmost commitment to resolving the challenges faced by the education system in Meghalaya.
Furthermore, the Education Minister took the opportunity to inspect the ongoing construction of Williamnagar Government College. Satisfied with the progress made by the contractor, he confidently informed the media that the college would soon commence its operations.
After carefully assessing the college and hostel buildings, the minister interacted with the Principal and lecturers, who shared their concerns regarding various issues. In response, the Education Minister assured them of his dedicated efforts to address these problems effectively, pledging to enhance the education system during his tenure.
