‘Every day more than 12,000 people die waiting for blood in India just because one of us, some of us don’t come forward to donate blood.’ It is against this alarming situation that Kiran Verma, a social worker from Delhi, is on a mission to raise awareness about blood donation in India. He has travelled more than 21,000 kilometres across the country, covering 15,200 kilometers on foot and additional 5,000 – 6000 kilometers by other means of transportation, to spread awareness.
