Shillong, May 8: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Monday said the government has sought a full report into the alleged killing of a man by BSF personnel.

“We have asked the investigating officer to find out the facts and give us a full report on what and under what circumstances it happened. Hence, without getting the detailed and factual report it would not be appropriate for me to comment,” Sangma told reporters.

He added, “I am sure the deputy CM will be able to give you more details but as of now we have asked the IO to give us the report.”

A 32-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by BSF personnel at Mawshun village in East Khasi Hills district on Friday night around 11pm.

A rally to protest the killing of Roning Nongkynrih was also organized by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) at Pynursla market on Monday.
