Shillong, May 21: The Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian School building in Mission Compound , Mawkhar were reduced to ashes in the wee hours of Sunday.

People of the State are lamenting the loss of a ‘monumental asset’. However, it is still not clear what caused the fire. According to reports, no casualties have been reported as of now and the matter is under investigation by the concerned authority.

The visuals of the building getting burnt to the ground are circulating online, leaving the netizens in complete shock and sadness.
