Shillong, May 9: Two students of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Hr. Sec. School have secured first position in both Science and Commerce streams in HSSLC examination, the results of which were declared by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on Tuesday.

Arnab Dutta of Laban Bengalee Boys Hr Secondary School topped the Science Stream with a total of 483 marks and letters in E,CS,Ph,Ch,M.

Rishab Purkayastha of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Hr. Sec. School, Shillong secured first position in Commerce Stream. He secured a total of 484 marks. Purkayastha got distinction in E,M,Bs,Ac,En,Ec.

This year, the overall pass percentage for the science stream is 78.84 percent, with 80.99 percent among regular students and 57.40 percent among non-regular students.

For the commerce stream, the overall pass percentage is 79.31 percent, with regular students having a pass percentage of 81.55 percent and the non-regular students registering a pass percentage of 39.84 percent.
