Shillong, March 4: As part of its Sustainability Week activities, IIM Shillong recently organized a highly successful blood donation camp themed “One donation saves three lives,” the event aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations.
The program witnessed 81 donors from the IIM Shillong community stepping up to donate blood in a single day.
The initiative, organized by the EcoBiz Club with support from HDFC Bank, Pasteur Institute, and the Regional Blood Bank, received praise from Prof. D. P. Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, who emphasized its significance in fostering community welfare and health promotion.
Last year’s efforts were recognized by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, highlighting the impact of such initiatives.
This year’s success underscores the collective commitment to prioritizing community health and well-being.
