Aizawl, Aug 9: Commonwealth Games Weightlifting Gold Medalist Jeremy Lalrinnunga on Tuesday called on Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga at CM’s Conference Hall.

In celebration of his medal, the Mizoram Rural Bank Chairman V. Jaya Chandra awarded an amount of Rs. 5 lakh, citation and the Holy Bible to the gold medalist.

The Chairman stated, “Jeremy lifted the glory of the nation alongwith lifting 300 kgs to win the gold medal.”

Jeremy also gifted the Chief Minister and Sports Minister mementos from Birmingham.
