Jowai, Nov 4: The Jaiñtia Students Movement – Western Region (JSM) in its Executive Committee Meeting on Thursday decided to support the proposed Peace Rally on November 05 called by the Jaiñtia Youth Federation (JYF) in protest against the Government’s failure to address the admission problems faced by about 150 students who are yet to get admissions to Class XI.
The proposed Peace Rally will commence from Lad College (Kiang Nangbah Government College) and proceed towards the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, West Jaiñtia Hills.
The JSM informed that this issue is very important because the Government has failed to address the admission problem of the students who belong to families who cannot afford admissions to Private Schools and Colleges.
Moreover, the JSM stated that it had from time to time demanded for a Government College in East Jaiñtia Hill and thus supporting the Peace Rally on the 5th November will further help to expedite fulfill their demand for a Govt. College in East Jaiñtia Hills.
