Tura, Oct 25: The District Sports Office, in collaboration with the District Administration & District Football Association, West Garo Hills, organised a Junior Inter Mahari Football Tournament 2023 for U-17 boys and girls at the GBHSS Football Turf, Chandmari. This tournament was only for the residents of West Garo Hills.

The tournament started on October 23rd, with a total of 13 junior mahari teams: 11 U-17 boys teams and only 2 U-17 girls teams participating in the tournament.

The finals of this tournament will be held on Friday, October 27th, at the GBHSS football turf. Today was the semi-finals of the tournament.

Today’s first semi-final match was between the Tegite boys team and the Nengminja boys team, where the Nengminja U-17 boys mahari team won the match by two goals against the Tegite U-17 boys team’s zero goals.
