Shillong, Mar 21: Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), a national organization which is primarily aimed at uplifting of micro, small and mid-sized enterprises (MSME) across the country formed its Meghalaya Unit on Monday at the premises of Shillong Club Residential.The program was held in the presence of Om Prakash Mittal, Ex all India President and current In-charge of North east India, Organization Minister Prakash Chand, Ashish Deorah, All India General Secretary, Manoj Lundia, President Northeast region, B L Agarwal , Chairman Northeastern region and Ajit Jana, patron Northeastern region.
Vikram Singhania was elected as the President and Harsh Jhunjhunwala as the General Secretary of the Meghalaya branch of LUB.
Addressing the gathering Om Prakash Mittal informed that LUB has its presence in more than 500 districts of the country and the vision of LUB was to make India the hub of MSME in the world again.
Prakash Chand, stated that though India is considered as an agrarian’s economy, India was actually an Industrial economy. He stated the “One family One industry” was how India was serving the world when it was aptly called the golden economy of the world.
Ashish spoke of the strength of the organization and informed how the organization is being instrumental in creating positive changes for the MSME’s.
Manoj Lundiaji, President for entire north-eastern region, shared the vision to make the northeast of India the hub of MSME in the country.
