Even the CEM of GHADC, who was leaving office, was not spared as the angry mob blocked the road as he was leaving. They stepped aside only after sometime.

But the situation got more serious as the mob who were bent on preventing other staff from attending duty began stopping vehicles of officers leaving the premises.

Using slogans and verbal threats they began asking them to stop vehicles and get out.

The CEM of GHADC has expressed shock over the rowdy behavior and lawlessness of the striking employees who are attempting to prevent others from joining duty.

“On one hand they want their grievances to be fulfilled but when we try and begin work to address their problems they are refusing to allow normalcy to return and continuously hampering the functioning of the council. How can the issue be solved if no one is allowed to work on it” asked the CEM.

Meanwhile, the protestors have approached the police demanding the arrest of the official who drove through them causing one of them to sustain bruises.
