Dibrugarh, April 9: The Anti-Drug Squad of West Siang Police has busted a major drug peddling racket and arrested the main drug peddler during an operation in Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh.
The accused has been identified as Dorik Doji of Aalo.
According to the police, he operated his drug supply network through CSP (Customer Service Point) and online transactions via QR codes and Google Pay.
During the investigation of Aalo PS Case No. 14/25 and Case No. 16/25, both registered under the NDPS Act, it was found that the main accused, Dorik Doji, was running the entire network using CSP and digital payment methods.

“Accused drug peddler Dorik Doji contacted a CSP at Pasighat, managed by Talom Mibang, and convinced him that he was running an online gaming business in Aalo. He told Talom that his clients would transfer money for the game through his CSP and Talom’s QR code. In return, Talom would initially receive half the amount and 30% after six months. Talom accepted the offer in December 2024, and the racket began operating,” police said.
Explaining the modus operandi, the police stated, “When a drug user contacted peddler Dorik through middlemen, the QR code was shared. Once the payment was made, the drugs were placed in an isolated location, and the user would retrieve them after receiving a call from the peddler.”
Police further revealed that on several occasions, Dorik personally collected money from the Pasighat CSP. He also re-routed funds through a CSP in Aalo, which he managed himself.
“The users and middlemen never met Dorik in person but communicated only through WhatsApp calls. Dorik frequently changed his mobile number after two to three transactions to evade detection,” police said.

Based on technical evidence, bank transactions, and assistance from Pasighat Police, CSP owner Talom Mibang was initially arrested, followed by the main accused, Dorik Doji, who was apprehended in Aalo.
“We have recovered ₹78,000 in cash, a bank account containing over ₹2 lakh in illicit proceeds, multiple SIM cards, and mobile phones. The accused is currently in police custody, and further seizures are expected,” police said.
Eight individuals have been arrested in connection with both cases.
