Shillong, July 30: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on Friday declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations for Science and Commerce streams, which saw Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong taking the first position in Commerce stream and St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong bagging the top spot in Science stream.
Debraj Nag of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong secured the first position in the HSSLC (Commerce) exams 2021 with a total of 472 marks, followed by Sanjana Singhania of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong securing the second position. Roshan Tiwari of Adventist Higher Secondary School, Thadlaskein (West Jaintia Hills district) secured the third rank in Commerce. A total of 2,307 students appeared for the exam and 1,867 cleared with a total of 80.93 pass percentage.
While in the Science stream, St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong once again bagged the first position of the HSSLC exams 2021 with Rachoita Das securing a total of 477 marks to take the first position. Akash Paul of the same school and Luigi Dalian Pasweth of Mookyrdoop-Jowai secured the second and third positions, respectively.
For Science stream, 3,677 students appeared and 2,789 cleared the HSSLC examination with a 75.85 pass percentage.
