Shillong, April 28: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday laid foundation for the construction of the new building of Bajengdoba C&RD block in the presence of Dy Speaker, Timothy D Shira, MLAs Pongseng Marak, Rupert Momin and host of MDCs and ex-MDCs.

The Chief Minister said that with laying the foundation of the building, the government has accorded Rs 121 crores for the construction of new buildings across 46 blocks in the State.
He also said that on completion of the new building, it will provide better working environment for the officers and will aid in facilitation of various welfare services.
The CM took the opportunity to also inform the gathering that Bajengdoba PHC will soon be upgraded to CHC.
During his visit to Bajengdoba in North Garo Hills, the CM also inspected the ongoing construction of Hamilton Sangma Stadium.
