Shillong, Jan 17: The Meghalaya government on Monday deferred its decision on the proposal of extending the upper age limit for recruitment to government jobs by five years.
Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui said there are still some issues that need to be fine tuned before approving the extension of the age limit.
On asked, Lahkmen informed that the Government has discussed the issue and the final decision will be taken in the next cabinet meeting.
“The proposal is for five years… 32 plus five years,” informed the minister.
“So there are some reservation regarding the uniform person, therefore due to the need of clarity, the Government have not approved on this issue and deferred it to the next cabinet, which we will sit in the next few days,” added Rymbui.
