Shillong, Jan 18: Meghalaya government on Tuesday effected a bureaucratic rejig, transferring IAS and MCS across various districts and departments.

In notable changes, Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner, Rosetta Mary Kurbah, has been promoted and appointed as Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Health and Family Welfare department.

Ram Kumar, the joint secretary to the government of Meghalaya, Health and Family Welfare Department and Mission Director of NHM will also function as Chief Executive Officer, Meghalaya Society for Social Audit and Transparency.

South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ramakrishna Chitturi has been promoted and appointed as joint secretary to the government of Meghalaya, Finance department. He will also function as Chief Executive Officer, Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society.

Abhilash Barnawal, additional district magistrate in-charge Amlarem has been promoted and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills.

Arpit Upadhyay, additional district magistrate in-charge Pynursla has also been promoted and appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi district.
