Shillong, Jan 24: Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik has tested positive for Covid-19. Due to this he will not be participating in the Republic Day Celebration at Polo Ground, an official statement from the Raj Bhawan informed on Monday.

“This is to bring to the general information of all concerned that the Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik, will not be participating in the Republic Day Celebration at Polo Ground as he has tested Positive for COVID-19,” informed Pravin Bakshi, Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor of Meghalaya.

Also, the “At Home” function scheduled on 26th January, 2022 at the Raj Bhawan premises stands cancelled for the same reason, he added.

At the same time, Governor Satya Pal Malik has wished a happy Republic Day to all the citizens of the State of Meghalaya.
