Shillong, April 10: To strengthen HIV/AIDS services in remote areas, the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly has donated a Mahindra Bolero to the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society (MACS). The vehicle was handed over by Malthus S. Sangma, Additional Secretary, on behalf of State Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma, to Dr. Wallambok Langstieh, Project Director, MACS.
The vehicle will be transferred to the Meghalaya State Network of Positive People (MSNP+) and used to trace Loss to Follow-Up (LFU) cases and support awareness and outreach programs across the state.

“This vehicle will help bring vital services to those in rural areas who struggle to access treatment,” said Malthus S. Sangma adding, “Under the Hon’ble Speaker’s guidance, this is a meaningful step in our fight against HIV/AIDS.”
