Meghalaya: One dead, two injured after two motorcycles collided in SWGH’s Damalgre

Tura, June 19:In a heart-wrenching incident, one died while two others were severely injured after two motorcycles collided with each other on Monday in South West Garo Hills’ Damalgre.

The tragic incident is said to have happened at around 1:00 PM when both the bike riders reached at Chimesenggre bridge and collided with each other.

Following the collision, both riders and pillion rider sustained grievous injuries.

After the accident, the 108 emergency ambulance was informed, which upon arrival examined the (L) Dechrang T Sangma and declared him death.

Meanwhile, the two injured persons were immediately shifted to Tura Civil Hospital for further medical examination and treatment.

On the other hand, the dead body of Karben was shifted to Ampati DM&HO morgue room.

The deceased has been identified as the son of Karben A Sangma and was a resident of Dengnakpara, in West Garo Hills.

The two vehicle involved in the collision include pulsar bike B/No. As 02 G. 0343 which was being driven by Jahangir (25 yrs), son of Abdul Hailim Sheikh, a resident of Uttar Samarali PO. Kapash Bari PS Sukchar, South Salmara, Assam and pillion rider Minarul Islam (26yrs), son of Mola Khowa PO&PS Sukchar dist and bike with registration no- ML 14 8862 which was being driven by the deceased.
